• The site migration is complete! Hopefully everything transferred properly from the multiple decades old software we were using before. If you notice any issues please let me know, thanks! Also, I'm still working on things like chatbox, etc so hopefully those will be working in the next week or two.

i have a 01 grandprix gt....dont have onstar and dont think i have bose or monsoon system. my problem is when i bought the car the rear deck speakers worked for about 2 days(when it was warm out) after it got cooler out they quit working. then they would work again when it was warm out again..i chalked it up to being blown speakers or possibly something with the wiring going to the speakers. i bought a alpine-plt5 inline sub box w/amp from a buddy(works awesome) and bought a pioneer hu and got the scoche wiring kit for both got it installed and worked great for about a year til the other day on the way to work, rear deck speakers were working everything was good then all speakers except subs quit! and have not came back on yet. i looked in the trunk and behind the glove box and behind hu to find an aftermarket amp and cant find it i know there should be one cuz i have a fuse for it in the fuse block and all my fuses are good. am i gonna have to run new wires from the hu or can i bypass somewhere?
any suggestions or ideas would be greatly appreciated goin nuts without sound

I have the very same problem. I used the factory connectors and wired the low frequency to the subs and the high to the tweeters. They worked fine for a "minute" and sounded great but now I don't have anything from the rear speakers/tweeters at all. The subs work fine. Any suggestions?

I have the same problem rear deck speakers only work when it's hot outside. I have check the connections thinking something had to be loose but didn't find anything. I replaced the door speakers (they were blown) and radio so far and it still only plays the rear speakers when it's hot out and only then sometimes. I have read there is a small amp behind the glovebox haven't had a chance to look yet.
