soo 96 Z28's are that great??!!??

well i just got home from the girlfriend's place.. and i jump on the computer real quick to check my messages and more than likely go to bed. well i always have my Aol Instant Messenger up and i got a message from some random dude. has a white 96 Z28 and he says his car is super cool, louder than mine, and is fast! He sends me the link to his car and it says its pushen 385 to the crank... I have about 625 to the Crank from what ZZP said.. so now he starts jumpen in by saying the V8 is the best.. and the 3.8 is the ****tiest motor, needs the supercharger just to run and you wish you had a turbo on there cuz there better... then i stop him and say the 3.8 is just about the strongest V6 around, and that I do have a turbo instead of the blower. he states oh, well let me put a turbo on my car and we will be even. So i stated, so you need a turbo v8 to beat my turbo v6? I start to laugh here.. cuz now his story starts to change. Well i wouldnt buy a turbo cuz that cheap, how bout motor to motor, also hes starting to get into a convo about racing when he stated earlier in the convo that he doesnt... but all of a sudden he wants to show me up. He also got really defensive when i called his camaro an average white z28 i see almost all the time. That was pretty much the whole story, then i just couldnt stand his stupidity any more and got off. SO the 3.8 is ****? Needs a supercharger to run? cuz apparently there are no 97-05 Grand Prix GT's... I can see Some GTP's sound like ass with exhaust.. but stay N/A or drop a turbo on there and enjoy! well im done rambling on about this.. just thought i share this with fellow Grand Prixers.

wow. stock LT1 with part of a 1LE intake. geez. big woop. stock suspension......yeah.

he's maybe got 250 to the tire. if anything he will get you off the line with stock power...but other than that if you get traction...you will blow right by him...what am I saying you could be spinning the tires an take him out.

now if he had a cam, heads, and a full suspension I would say different story....might be close. if he adds spray, my vote would be him.

but not bad. good solid rant.
 
the camaro would be my favorite car but this guy is an idiot...and lloking at his car I wonder y there is no dual exhaust which z28s have???
 
well the pic of the engine is the lt1, but maybe he is like one of the kids that takes other pics ad puts him in his profile.
 
He's a loser! His car looks like everyone elses. I own alot of cars, and you can Always tell my cars apart from any other! My GP isn't modded, but, there isn't one like it. I guess it is my most average car I have. But thats ok cuz I'm not out talkin crap. I don't lose, but it's not because I'm the fastest, it's because I know how to choose my race. I race to win, not for fun. But, it's really fun to win!

385 with only an intake? Wow that's some intake. Given the last SS was only 330 and the last WS6 TA was 335. Just looked up in 96 the LT1 was only rated at 285 hp. :)
 
but he has the magic 160* t stat (that on the lt1's on a track actually slows the car down) I may have to show this to the guys on my camaro board
 
yeah, at 1st i was thinken he was a cop... since it was a random IM and he asked where im located. so i told him wisconsin... :p I dont mind talking to people about cars and just bull**** around... but when they become cocky and start bragging about a car that isnt even all that.. then thats it.. have a good day. The funny thing is at the last thing i dont remember what he said but my last statement to him was.. Well you have fun with yourself and your average "cool almighty v8" car and ill go on my way beating them. it was just a good final laugh for me and slap in the face to him. oh, and did anyone notice the corvette wheels on there? they just dont look right on there.
 


As a former Camaro owner and a f-body fanatic I would like to take this time to apologize for this guys actions.... wait.... nevermind... hes a douche. I cant stand guys like this. I normally respect anyone who takes pride in their car... even some ricers.... but that guy is just an idiot and I cant stand idiots. When I run into someone like this part of me wants to help the poor guy and try and enlighten him... but then I remember.... You Can't Fix Stupid!
 
Heck he might have just im'ed you to mess with ya, I know a lot of people get their jollies by playing stupid and messing w/ people.
 


haha i clicked on his name and under the friends catagory it says "White96Z28 currently has no friends, and is a loser" just seemed soo fitting..
