Something I've been wondering about RP

I've read all over the internet, including their own website and it seems like it's a great oil, lots of people support it, and lots of people even go so far as to say it blows the other oils out of the water...

But if it's supposedly one of the best on the market, why does it lack the API starburst symbol?

It has the API Licensed "donut" symbol, but not the star burst symbol? Does that carry any significant meaning? I know a lot of people use RP long-term with no problems, so what's the deal? Why isnt RP approved with that starburst symbol?
 


I know a guy that ran rp in three different vehicles, all developed an oil burning problem. He switched to mobil 1 and none burnt oil from that day on. I don't doubt that it's good oil, but I'll stick with M1 or Amsoil
