Some electrical advice needed

1998 Grand Prix GTP Coupe
Bought a car that I know has had the electrical messed around with. Thankfully nothing critical seems to have been messed up but a couple of inconveniences exist. Just looking for help on where I might start working on these!

-Programming Mode: Can get the chimes for changing modes but for some reason my doors continue to lock once the key is turned on as if the mode was never changed.

-Climate control: Pushing the ?auto? button lights up the TCS off light and resets the value of whatever mode is on the DIC. Turning off auto then brings them back to normal.

-HUD: Shows radio station when I change volume. Is that a factory choice?

Any help is greatly appreciated!

Update: After playing around, it seems that the auto issue only occurs when the temp is set to the coldest, and goes away once the temp is turned up.
