Some ebay sellers...

So I bought a boost gauge two weeks ago off ebay... It was marked shipped last week around mid week so I was expecting it to come approximately mid week (no huge hopes for fast shipping). I never recieved a tracking number for them so I e-mailed them to see what was up with is. They said they finally got to the warehouse and realized all their gauges were broken and it would be 2 months before they got me one... this was 2 weeks after I ordered it...

Gotta love ebay. I wish there were harsher penalties for sellers that suck so we could weed out some of them. There are plenty that should not be allowed to sell due to having zero product knowledge, or no customer skills.

Well the only thing I can say that saved them from getting completely flamed and getting negative feedback is they did e-mail me letting me know there was a problem. And they are issuing a full refund instead of sending a broke product and me having to go through the whole crap with ebay

You should still leave negative feedback for the 2 week wait. I hate it when sellers deserve a negative feedback and once you leave it they give the buyer a negative one just to be jerks. Sellers should not be allowed to leave a negative feedback unless the buyer does not pay. Period!!. Would make feedback alot more honest.

They have already given me positive feed back seeing as I Payed the minute I won the gauge :P. Im on top of things :)

always go through paypal. my brother got screwed around with a guy who sent him broken projector headlights for his GP, then he sent them back and he sent him the same headlights with NO HIDs, and the time was running out to get his money back. so he "escalated" the case and complained to ebay/paypal and then they take that guy down and after a few cases they wont be aloud to sell on ebay anymore.

Same happened to me, I bought some black housings and after two weeks I e-mailed the guy and he said they got lost in transit (no tracking number). So yeah working on getting my cash back.

I've sold plenty of things on ebay and once USPS lost my package. $80.00 gaming ram. I go the guy to wait it out for a bit but finally refunded him. I had tracking but no insurance on it so the USPS didn't owe me a dime. :( So now anytime I ship anything over 50 bux it gets insured. 2 months later i get my package back in a bag with no ram inside. WTF!

Well good news to the end of the story I recieved a message last night my full amount was refunded to my paypal account last night. So they will be getting a neutral response from me. They did piss me off with the shipping issue but there was a positive that they didnt ship me a defective product. Atleast they are looking out for their product integrity and inspecting before they go out

Ebay can be hit and miss. My brother wanted a aftermarket headlight housings for his Neon a few years back. He didn't want to make an Ebay account just to get them so he gave me the money and asked me to get them for him with my account.

Long story short, used Buy It Now, paid immediately, two weeks later no lights. I messaged them askign what the deal was and they said "Oh we're out of stock on those right now", yet they had 20 other auctions up for the same lights. I ripped into them in my response. I had my refund 20 minutes later and found other lights with a different seller. I had those 5 days later.

I would venture a guess that the "all the gauges were broken" was just an excuse because they didn't actually have them.
