Help im in the midst of changing my trans filter an this thing fell out an im not sure which way it goes.

The point of the "V" should be holding that plate in place.

**** i just looked at the new filter an it says 4t80e and 4t85e instead of 4t60e and 4t65e is that a problem? it looks exactly the same accept the big slot on the bottom is in a slightly different spot but its the one autozones computer said.

Never tried to fit a 4T80/85 filter before. Gonna have to wait for trannyman or someone else on that one.

Thanks sabre. yea it woulda been interesting but i went back out there after i wrote that to double chack an figured out i misread it while i was laying on my back under the car with the light in a funny spot. turns out it is the right one so i put it in an put the pan back up. so alls well. thanks for the help
