Ok, 2000 GT 100,000+ miles.
My wifes gt was idling strange past couple of days.
rpms would go up and down but not consistently.
Drove the car down state no problems, then drove back home no problems.
parked car in drive way from wed to sat morning. my daughter got in it saturday morning and it will not stay running. the engine cranks great and starts, but will not stay runing. it dies after about 5 to 8 seconds. if you press on the gas it will rev up and down and the die.
I replaced fuel filter and no change.
could it be a key chip issue? my daughter bought some key covers and asked me if she could put them on and i said yes. she cut the rubber coding off the key and removed it, just to find out the covers she bought would not fit. could this be a security issue? i have unplugged battery for several hours and will try in the morning. the fuel pump kicks on every time and it starts fine. but will not stay running. any ideas?
thanks in advance :)

mostly its the iac, or a vacuum leak
cleaning the tb may help and clean the maf too,

yes but if the battery's unplugged then it wont read it at first but after a time of too of trying to run it then it should throw a code but it could just be that its dirty and has build up on it clean the tb blade before replacing anything
