• The site migration is complete! Hopefully everything transferred properly from the multiple decades old software we were using before. If you notice any issues please let me know, thanks! Also, I'm still working on things like chatbox, etc so hopefully those will be working in the next week or two.

So my EGR is deleted

I swear I find more and more about my car everyday thanks to this site. I checked my DTC's on my aeroforce today, the SES light isnt on but I wanted to see if anything would come up. P0403 and P0405 came up. So I went to inspect my EGR. Low and behold it is not there and I see a blocking plate on my rear exhaust mani. So, I know the PCM was set to not report, otherwise I would not have passed previous inspections. But Im wondering why my aeroforce would show it and should I just clear those codes?

So the codes are only on the aeroforce? If they have been deleted on your PCM they shouldn't report to your Aerofoce either...

I know its weird. But I should not have been able to pass inspection if those codes are present. I have passed the last 3 years, and the egr has been gonzo the whole time

Nah...theyre current. I erased em but they came back. I just remembered that one of the inspectors told me that I can have one system fail the emissions and still pass. So that must be how its been passing inspections. Weird that they're not tripping my SES.

The faults may be enabled but the fault type might be set to no reporting, you can change the fault type to No report or as I copied/pasted below. There are 2 separate tables in powrtuner. Fault enable and fault type. Below is the fault type table.

0 = 1 trip SES on, 3 trips SES Off. 1 = 2 trips SES On, 3 trips SES off. 2 = Service On. 3 = No Reporting.

sweet thanks Fosh....Im gonna buy a tuner and change em to no report. It's bugging me now that I know they're there.
Edit: So if I disable reporting, will it disable all reporting or just the parameters I select?
