Hi guys, My name is Dane, I live in central Iowa and am 20 yrs old.
I've been a member and actively posting questions and comments for a month now.
I believe I can now make one of these threads because I only now have my baby on the road.
My previous car was an 01 GTP that I ran hard....and had a pretty massive wreck in that messed my leg up but otherwise I was fine. Unfortunately the car was toast and so it went to the yard.
(Its the white one in my avatar pic, the maroon one is my ex gfs.)
Fast forward a year and I now have bought, and just dropped a motor in, a 97 GT that I am absolutely in love with. I doubt I'll drive any other car for a while. Grand Prixs are just a good fit for me.
I'm a backyard mechanic that can handle simple repairs pretty well but If I haven't done it before, I"m lost. That's where you guys come in. Some of you guys have been critical help in the engine swap I just finished and I'm sure will be a great help in any and all future jobs. Thank you all, this is a great site I hope to make a lot of friends, and hope to meet a bunch of you at the Iowa meet in May.
