I found this while searching for myself and figured I would share. Since my other thread is a lil' old, I just made a new one for this link. While it is not truly full carbon fiber panels it is close enough, because it is real carbon fiber.

Just looking out for now, but I will make my own how-to because I will be wrapping my kick panel speaker enclosures in this

Yup, thats some good info.

The way I get my carbon fiber to stick onto the part or project I am working on, instead of using resin to get it to stick, I will use some of that 3M spray glue from a aerosol can. You know, the stuff you can also use for spraying glue onto carpet to get it to stick. Works well for me.

Big thing also is to use high quality resin if your going after the appearance of the carbon fiber when its finished. I have my online source on where I buy my stuff from. If your just using the carbon fiber as a reinforcement and don't really care how it looks or it wont be seen, you can use just some cheap fiber glass resin you can get from any auto parts store.

Its a messy thing to work with, but over time...you will get good at it.

If you do a search on youtube.com, there are quite a few instructional videos on the lay up process of carbon fiber.

I have my sources locally. A lot of the stuff I get is expired, and its headed to the trash can anyway. Air Craft standards are very strict on this stuff. My standards are very low, cause its only needed for appearance.

You can buy if off ebay. Just type in carbon fiber fabric, and go shopping. They sell it small, and some sell it by the yard.
