Does anyone have any idea where to find one? I need dimensions of the cutouts. I have a friends thats a good fabricator and i bought a new oem hood and am gonna let him try it. If all works out good it will benon my car for gm nats in carlisle and if anyones interested he may make a run of them.

I kinda.. see what you're saying. But if your buddy's going to do a custom hood, why copy the SLP? I think I've only seen SLP on up to 03.

the problem with the 04+ hoods is that you can't just slap a hood scoop on it and expect it to look good because it's hard to make a scoop look good on those hoods. if it was me, I would have Camaro ZL1 style scoops put in. there are a few others that look pretty good too.

One thing I would consider is something like a 3" cowl induction hood scoop that is functional because if you ever change intake manifolds, you won't have to go through as much labor getting the manifold to fit because it is taller.

You'll nvr find SLP hood scoops let alone find that hood. It's easier and cheaper to get a G8 hood from a salvage yard and use the scoops from that hood.

To anyone wanting an slp hood 97-03 i can get them. I just bought an slp hood and my buddy owns a fiberglass company that builds camaro mustang cowl hoods he said he can make a mold from mine and make how ever many we would need. He said 250 on them plus shipping. We are in the cincinnati oh area if someone wanted to pick up. The hoods will be molded in black and finished underneath with the ram air vent. He said he can also build a drain duct in it or a true ram air set up to rout it to the air box. If multiple people want them i may be able to get you guys a club rate. They'll be made off an authentic slp so fittment will be good. I have installed DOZENS of the camaro hoods impala ss hoods and he even done a couple hoods for my cadillacs and the fitment and qualitys always been spot on. I own a body shop for locals i can do paint if needed. Pm me if interested.

To my previous post on the slp hoods. After speaking to my buddy he said he can do other hoods as well for them. He also said he can do the spoilers any style slp or limited edition. We talked about doing the fiberglass trunk lids and fenders for those who wants to reduce weight. On the fenders he can do scoops or gtx vents in them. He can go as far as fiberlass doors but he said those would be classed off road use only race. Pm me for additional info far as price and availability. He makes over 100 different make and model hoods. If you are interested in a hood for another make n model car let me know.

^^^Yeah it is!! When I had my GTP I got a fiberglass GTX hood from the original manufacturer Stinger Fiberglass for around $750.

Yeah a guy that drove rock truck for a quarry that I worked at years ago had a fox body that he was building. He got a 4" cowl hood for it and said he regretted it from the instant he sat in the car and couldn't see over it. Its not like he was short either, he was probably close to 6'5".

I understand what you are saying and 3" is probably too much, but at the same time, the seats in the grand prix can be raised up so you can see out a little better than an older mustang.
