Folks:

Just got this setup running, but it is slow off the line.

HP Tuner scan shows throttle position sensor at 20 degrees with pedal to the floor off the line. Tuning help will be much appreciated.

Regards,

David

Sounds like an issue with throttle position sensor.

Shut the car off, the just turn the key over to turn the power on (dont start the engine)..

Hook your scanner up. Open the hood and go and manually move the throttle under the hood.. Watch the TP% on your scanner. See if it says 0% when you dont touch the throttle, and 100% when you pull the throttle as far as it will go.. That should limit out any issue with the throttle cable. (This is all assuming your are not somehow using the electronic throttle body from series 3)..

If the above (regarding 0% and 100%) are not true when you test, there is likely an issue with the throttle position sensor.

Thanks for the reply!

We retained the electronic throttle body and drive by wire pedal. We suspect it has something to do with the traction control and/or torque management.

Hope you know something about the setup.

Not much.. From what I understand, there are 20+ TP% curves programmed in to the PCM for that TB.

I have not seen a program to manipulate them.. Further, I have not seen an association to torque management or traction control adjusting the throttle position (although that would make sense)...
