Well Today i attempted to take my side moldings off my car. I had no clue that they were studded into the car. Any one have any experience in this? Did any one do it them selfs? did that have to take it to a body shop after? I would like to avoid painting the whole tot sides of a car that has not a ounce of after market paint on it!!

Had it done on my old car. Unless you are really good and have a good welder, I'd leave it to a body shop. The metal on the doors is really thin and warps easily. You will definitely need paint work after welding, smoothing, etc. Only other options are leaving them on or just putting plugs in which would look really poorly done. Good luck with whatever you choose.

Note to self, always ask the forum before removing parts. :th_thumbsup-wink:
