• The site migration is complete! Hopefully everything transferred properly from the multiple decades old software we were using before. If you notice any issues please let me know, thanks! Also, I'm still working on things like chatbox, etc so hopefully those will be working in the next week or two.

Should I: fix it, part it, or let insurance take it?

A 16 year old slid on the ice through her right hand turn and drilled me while I was sitting at a stop sign. The car has 216,000 miles and has been a great car. I've put a lot of new parts on lately and wonder if parting it out will get my money back or if I'm better off taking the total settlement from insurance (still haven't heard what the offer is yet). I doubt I will get enough to fix it, but please let me know your thoughts!

yea the roof has a buckle and the floor is probobly pushed in, that easily totals the car. can you pick another gtp up cheap where you live?

It all depends on what the girl's insurance will do for me. I don't want another one with 216,000 on it. I put all 216,000 on this one and know it's been treated right but others around here are rusted out under the gas door and look like they were washed with scouring pads.

you probably wont get back what you put in it, but you'd atleast cover some of the upgrades you've done..my vote is take the cash..
