Shifter does not light up

I was wondering what could be wrong. The shifter does not light up on my 07 grand prix. Is there a certain fuse that could be blown out or would I have to take apart the center console?

It's most likely that the bulb is burned out. I had the same problem and I checked all the fuses but the problem was the bulb. So try checking the bulb.
 
there is 2 bolts on the bottom on both side of the center console take them out and then put your car in to first. then apply the parking brake so it doesnt roll down the drive way. there are some clips that yuo cant get to but you just have to grab the back side of the console and pull up on it pretty hard.(take the cup holder off the hump in the back first or you'll break it.) then once you pull the dash out the bulb is on the driver side of the shifter colum. bulb is a 194 wedge bulb. once you change the buld put back together in reverse order
 


You guys are exactly right, I think I removed the center console, replaced the bulb and put back the center console in maybe 20min or less. Took that long mostly cause I had to take pictures of previous work to the center console.
