shift points and rev limits

I was wondering what is the highest anyone has made the shift points and rev limiter on an l67 without having tons of knock and without blowing their motor? with suporting modds of course. i was also curious if anyone knew what they were best at with an xp cam. were is the xps powerband and such thanks.

if you want to rev this motor really high (7000 RPM) then youre going to need it balanced (the whole damn motor) and youre going to need some hella big valve springs (like 150#ers).

unless youre going with a REALLY big cam there is no reason to go this high into the gears. most people would do just fine reving their motor to a max of about 6300 or so. with an XP there is absolutely no reason to go any higher than 6400 under any circumstances and even then i wouldnt go that high just for a little more motor life.
