Well guys...only thing we could ever come up with is the fact that either an injector failed and leaned her way out until she popped or the lifter shot crap, the valve stuck open and the piston smacked the head...hence the spark plug still being stuck in the block...Good news was that the XP was fine *phew*

So, here are some updated piktars...

Well, there were multiple busted parts...the valve head was gone, the head was trashed (I guess the piston hit it), spark plug was melted into the head, piston #4 was GONE, chunks of it was shaken out of my exhaust system the other night when I was moving it around. The rod was bent a little bit and the cylinder wall was trashed...that is all I can think of right now :p
 
no broken spring? no demolished lifter? something had to have happened. valves just dont hit pistons unless timing is off or something breaks.

It's weird. 3 lifters jammed, 1 missing piston, bent pushrod and one valve missing the head. All springs were in tact, timing chain was still good, even the cam gear key was undamaged.

Hell if I know.

Did you just get a used bottom end? Any extra work done this time around? Any head work?

You're very lucky to have good people like that around you to help you. If something happened to me I don't think i'd be as lucky, i'd be busting ass by myself! Good job guys...
