so here's the lowdown
06 GP...nothing fancy, owned it since new.
Had a trailer hitch and trailer harness installed over 2 years ago. never had a problem. opened and closed the trunk dozens of times towing a trailer and it's never been an issue.
then over the weekend, someone I know, slammed the trunk on the trailer wiring harness splitting the yellow parking lamps and white ground wires! WTF!
now my parking lamps dont work. here's what I've tried with no success
installed new wiring harness,
purchased and installed a new park lamps fuse/relay ($15+ tx)
installed it and the old one in the correct position and trying it both ways.
checked the resistance of the current loop in the resistor and both of them are checking out fine.
uninstalled the wiring harness alltogether and "wound" the wires together as they would have been from the factory.
nothing has worked....thoughts?
