My grandmother is finally retiring her drivers license so i have aquired a mint 1992 olds 98 with the series 1 SC engine. Now the olds 98 isnt the prettyiest looking car or i would just roll that, however my other ride a 98 gp gt is just begging for engine swap. I am wondering what the differences are between the series 1 and series 2 engines, and wondering what the differences in the transmission are, and if this is possible at all.

Thanks

The two motors have no interchangeable parts. That 92 may not even have an EGR on it, a lot of them didn't. It'll be about the slowest 3800 SC'd motor ever built based on the year. They uppsed the SC's with rotor coating (yes..92-93 weren't coated rotors) in 94-95 and gained a little...but that little M62 is a serious heat pump.
