Sensor location...

Ok, I have a 99 GT, top swapped. There is a sensor unplugged on the rear of the engine, VERY hard to get to to plug it back in, the sensor is in the block, plug in is facing the firewall, the plug is a oval shaped green plug, sensor location itself is passenger side, bottom of block, under the manifold toward the passenger side slightly from the center of the block. Does anyone know what this sensor is? Car wont start and wondering if maybe it needs this sensor plugged in to start. Tried to plug it in, but the sensor has so much grease and crap caked into it it wont plug in..its freezing outside, so if its something I dont need to mess with, then I wont, I am only starting the car to move it a couple blocks.

Im assuming it would still start without the knock sensor though? And, I thought the plug in part of the sensor faced the ground on the knock sensor?

Location sounds like the knock sensor, but that plug is almost impossible to get to with the motor still in the car.

The green plug-in sounds to me like the oil pressure sender.

I dont think either of those would cause it not to start though? Except maybe oil pressure sensor?

Its odd it wont start....only things ive done since I started it last was, put a new supercharger belt on, re-grounded the ICM, put the ZZP tuned PCM in (Had a stock 01 GTP PCM before), EGR delete, put coolant and trans fluid in, and now it wont start....it has been sitting not started for about 6 or 7 months...but, not sure why it wont start now...it has fuel, that I know for sure, it cranks fine, just no start...still have yet to check for spark, but, I tried a couple different locations to ground the ICM while trying to get it to start and none of them made a difference, just didnt have anyone with me to be able to check for spark while I cranked, so...im kind of lost now..anyone have any ideas? The fuel is about a year old...maybe that? Or ZZP screwed something up with the tune, or theres something on that PCM (VATS, CASE relearn) that wont allow it to start? HELP please! Lol. Thanks!

green just past the oil filter is the oil pressure sensor, car will run with this unplugged. mines unplugged for over a year.

if the plug socket is full of grease and oil, its leaking, and should be changed before it blows out all the way and you loose 3 or 4 quarts with out knowing it. and boom goes your engine.
