SC coupling?

I'm about to do my pulley swap (finally) and somebody told me I should do the SC coupling while I'm at it. My car has 172k on it, I don't hear any strange sounds or anything. The SC oil is good, I checked it very recently. Should I do the coupling along with the pulley? Im only asking because I'm in a budget and would like to avoid cost if possible.

Any way to tell if it's loose other than opening the snout up? Does it make a noise when its loose?

So maybe he could take a can of Carb cleaner to his vacuum lines and spray all the lines while the car is running & check for a leak. Feeling like, based on what he said he's done recently to his car he has a vacuum leak.

I didn't think anything was wrong, someone just said to do it because the pulley would be off anyway. I would rather not do it lol just want to know what other GP people had to say
