• The site migration is complete! Hopefully everything transferred properly from the multiple decades old software we were using before. If you notice any issues please let me know, thanks! Also, I'm still working on things like chatbox, etc so hopefully those will be working in the next week or two.

Sad day

Mirraco

One BadAzz GT Dawgg
Had a couple look at my grand prix today, was asking 5200 for it, they said HOLD THAT CAR, in a week they will be coming with 5500 for it, just because im holding it for them.

car booked at around 3900 in excellent. 73k on the odometer, they were like jumping for joy :th_laugh-lol3:

Be looking for another cheap one that needs a little work i suppose. Bills had to be paid, and ill have a couple thousand extra to play with.

Sometimes a mans gotta do what a mans gotta do... like wait until they are out of earshot to laugh! Nice. Coupes are cool, try one.

I got a 08 g6 coupe, i love it, just time to get my money and run with this grand prix

Seems like i was lucky to make a couple thousand miles before something else goes wrong with the car, got tired of it.

I guess time will tell. Told em that I got the title signed and ready to go soon as they can get cash

Yea I wouldn't get excited until you have cash in your possession It's premature at this point

I would have got a deposit and a bill of sale. When I bought the 02 I gave the guy a $500 deposit, we wrote up a bill of sale at the agreed upon price of $3500, and we both signed it. Bill of sale said $500 down, $3000 due upon delivery. Seller kept the car and the title in the interim. I checked that the title was clear, the VIN matched the car, the address matched the mailbox, and that the name matched his DL. So I have a receipt for my $500, the price is locked in, and if I back out of the sale he keeps my $500.

Went back the following week with a trailer and got the car, gave him the rest of the cash and got the signed title.

Hope your sale goes thru, that's a nice price for an '01.

Yeah he did give me the 300$ just to hold it for him, we didn't do any sort of bill of sale, but the agreement was reached that I would take the car off craigslist and facebook sales, and to hold it for him for a maximum of a month. He said he would have the cash in about a week, possibly two. I told him if he didn't come up with the 5200 after one day less than a month, it was forfeited to me, and the car will be relisted for sale.

You really need to get all this in writing, and have the other party sign. At the end of the day, it is their word against yours. They can now claim to have given you a $1000 to hold the car and cause you some grief. Hopefully they don't and it all works out.

^^^This, you're not in Texas and a handshake agreement isn't binding.

Yeah well, i really felt like he was going to buy it. I looked his facebok page up just now, and apparently he posted this

Ill start laughing when the moneys in my hand and i see it going down the road.

Yeah the down payment helps. But at least get that part in writing for both parties sake.
2 years ago I did the same thing. I had to give someone $500 cash to hold the car until (all I had on me) but I had it in writing with the vin# The woman I bought the car from was super helpful but hey for my sake , I wasn't going to wait 4 days for the title while I just handed a random person $500 cash lol

And all it takes is for that person to go browsing on Craigslist or any of the the classifieds and find one cheaper to counteroffer you and then welp there goes the extra money you thought you were going to make.. Or for a buddy to chime in and say I seen one for this or that or your paying to much etc. until you have cash or a certified cashier check for that amount I wouldn't go counting your marbles just yet.

5500 for the car with the 16" rims on it, and i sold the 17" gtp rims for 500$, 6000.

My g6 just hit 100K miles yesterday.

Yes, it sure did feel good robbing someone without a gun...I actually re looked my up kbb, its excellant condition was 3400, top retail at a dealer is 4400. I sold my 17" gtp rims to someone else, so in all reality, i got 6050$ for the car. Just, every 5K miles or so, i would have to fix something. Thats if i was lucky to make it to 5K miles after a repair.

I didnt tell them about the zzp DP, reptile tune..They may of shyed away if they knew car could go 135+..Had it at 138 with rpms getting close to 5000-5500 in OD.
