so i thought i knew what i was doing when i borrowed a friends pulley.. Somehow the m8 little stud that drives into the snout is now completely stuck in the snout. There is no way to get it out. and the new pulley is halfway on the snout. What else could possibly go wrong. Any ideas?

The main bolt on mine (the huge one) the nut somehow got stripped onto it when my pulley was halfway on.. turned into a 2 day project between school and work and a coupld trips to home depot. with the right stuff i made a pulley tool for like les than 10 bucks lol.

anyways, in your case.. lets see the pics

see the nut stuck all the way inside..

im deff. going to need to make a ghetto pulley puller to make this work.. I really dont want to buy a new pulley and a snout. All because of this stupidity

I did the same thing when I pulled my pulley out, I basically put a small Flathead in there and found a spot where the broken stud wouldnt move then I started rotate the hub around(put some penetrating oil) . Surprisingly I was able to drive it out and then needle nosed it out of there. Trust me I was also freaking out luckily enough it work out . ( the Pulley stud should be pretty loose in there ).GLWP (Good Luck with Pull ) :)

well the thing is, that is my new 3.5 pulley. And its halfway on. i dont want to pull it back off and try my attempt 2 lol

And i dont know what you mean by putting the flat head in there. How did you use the puller with it in there?

I pulled the stud out .. I was supplied with 4 studs when i purchased the puller . I was lucky enough to install on last stud try lol
I did also used a block and hammer to finish the last bit of pulley install, I know its a Big no-no but hell it worked, if you do tap it in be very careful !

How the heck are you guys breaking these? Are these studs actually hardened? You did put a bit of oil on the shaft before you tried pressing them on? I don't remember ever having these issues when I pulled and pressed my hub on...

Thought I would add: Drill, ez out. Probably your best bet.

Ahhh, I remember my 3.5" press-on.

Better suited as a paperweight.

I know a guy that might have one for sale...that 4thgencamarofanguy ;)
