Rubber or metal water pump gasket on '04 Comp G



ive used em both, really dont matter. install both dry, no rtv needed. make sure the timing cover is clean. thread sealant on the 4 long bolts.
 
While I'm at it, should I use rtv on the lower intake gasket or just 4 dabs of it in the corners like the little paper in the box said? yes its a metal gasket
 
smear a dab in all 4 corners, then install the gaskets, then another dab on top of the gaskets in the 4 corners. thats it. dont forget new elbows.
