I have a 98' Grand Prix SE and recently i have been having the following conditions and need to know if anyone might know the cause...
1. The car will all of sudden lose acceleration/power really briefly, but then as i push on the accelerator the car will regain its power.
2. The RPM gauge drops to zero and stays there, but the car is still operating correctly.
3. The Trac Off indicator lights up and stays on until i turn off the car.
The strange thing is that once i have turned off the car and then turn it back on, everything returns back to normal at first before going through the same cycle eventually. I would consider myself above average when it comes to hands on fixing my car, so any suggestions of thoughts would be greatly appreciated.
