Rough idle then smooths out.

Recently did my brake line replacements (both). Most recent work done. When i start my car after sitting for a good while it sounds as if i have a hole in my exhaust or like my motor is struggling best i can describe it. I do have a ses light on and its been like that for a minute, its a evap leak/gas cap code. Gas cap is new and i dont have money to have it looked at. But after 5min of idling it sounds normal and goes away. Im confused and want to fix this before it turns into something more expensive. Once again thanks for your time.

Confused on which brake lines you had done. You say both, yet there's four lines on the car.

Seems like an exhaust leak.

a few of these 3800s have been known to idle rough at start up when they are warm and have been sitting for 5 minutes or so, then it smooths out. i would try the coolant temp sens. it tends to get corroded and doesnt read for a few seconds ..cheap try.
