Rotor Question

I was looking at a set of slotted KVR rotors and as i read up about them it said the the protective cadmium finsish that prevents rust would ware off the face of the rotor after braking. You can also get the rotors with a gold or black finish which looks sick but will the finish ware off the face over time? Helpful input and some pics would be cool. thanks guys
 


Any rotor with a color will be a paint or coating of some type and will wear off under the heavy friction of a brake pad pressing on it. I have used two different kinds of rotors with a coating of some type and both of them were bare, shiny metal within a few rotations of the brakes being used.
