Rockey Panels and some advice

So i got this car in 2012, its sat since then cause i spent my money on other things, the car has 157k on both the engine and body. I want to fix it up and put it on the road. but are these rockers worth fixing or should i just sell the car for cheap/scrap?

what year is it? hows the rest of the car look? if the car looks ok and you love it, fix it.

yeah there is a guy that said he would do it for around 140ish

its an 2003 GT There's surface rust on the body in a few spots and the front struts could be replaced there hasn't been a check engine light on except for oil, i have the front left fender off cause it need to be replaced i have a donor car that was given to me when a relative pass that i can take the fenders off of.
The Rotors and breaks need to be replaced and an exhaust leak. its all stuff I can do on my own except for the rockers.

Yes i love the car the only other car I would but is a Buick regal or an El-Camino lol
On the reserve i can usually drive it once or twice a month when the cops do a shift change.

guy said he'd change the rockers for 140 bucks? better go get that in writing fast and have him do it lol

That number might cover the price of 2 rockers, but thats it. No installation included. Your rust extends WAY past what you get on a new rocker and goes multiple layers deep. The lifting damage don't help either. I'd say that she is a goner... but with love no mountain is too high I suppose. Repairing this one is a lose-lose-lose. Around here, the work I can see on the car is easily over a thousand bucks.

If you can pull back your trunk carpet and have a peek at where the rear struts mount at the top, up by the speakers, both sides, that may help you decide. If you have any significant rust there, I would yes- hunt for a nicer body with broken trans or engine that will accept yours.

This is what the Rear strut towers look like, they are just dust from dirt roads, and I also took picso f the front ones they seem like they are going to be an issue.

Dang, thats normally the other way around! The rears look good, I think later years got better wheelwell liners back there. Fronts looks like its the strut bodies themselves thats rusting up. Check the bottom side. Even if it is just the strut, it could spread.

You're better off than some, but theres no way to make light work out of those rockers. You need somebody who has done plenty of patch fabrication. Its not rocket science, but finding somebody who will keep the structure strong and protect the new metal properly is honestly kind of hard to find. If you want the car back nice, you'll have to start asking around then use your own best judgement on repair facilities. Personally I prefer fixing a car I know some history on, like you do this one.
