Resonator Options

Ok thanks guys. I probably should have mentioned the car will have a catless downpipe so the resonator i get will really need to reduce as much rasp as possible..

The vibrant ultra quiet resonators look like a good option but they are all kind of short (14 inches overall length) compared to the longer typical resonator..

im on a 32 inch glass pack, headers, no cat. you'd almost swear its stock. its still quiet like stock. what i wanted.

see thats where your some what wrong, its the same damn thing really at the end of the day. just cause your paying more dont mean its better.

if what you want is no drone, zero rasp, the glass pack does just that. and it looks just like a walker replacement.

i went as far as cutting off the inlet tube and welding a flange on it. so it can unbolt like it should.

the longer the better too. goes for any res.

this is a walker replacement res. looks a lot like a glass pack dont it? walker makes stock replacement parts. http://www.summitracing.com/parts/wlk-21340/overview/make/buick/model/regal

The 1142 is 3" in/out... Just be sure that's what you're looking for. Also, its short enough you 'could' put two in line if need be. I've seen them cheaper by the way. About $85.

Those brake lines though!

Yeah around here brake lines that look like that are considered in good shape. When they get all poofy and you can peel layers off the lines, now they're getting bad. I see it weekly working at a shop.

It sucks because just bumping them when they get like that, they start leaking. Its a good thing though really, better than causing an accident, and its already at the shop. Imagine having to take off a diff cover but the line that runs along the top of it (that you will have to disturb), is super rusted.

3 " in/out is what im looking for. The car will have sd headers, catless dp, and 3 inch exhaust. So i need a good resonator to reduce the rasp for that set up. Would one magnaflow/vibrant resonator be enough for that? (they are 18 inches in length) or would it be better to go with a even longer glasspack? A little rasp is ok for me but dont want raspy shi**y exhaust sounds.

I put a 10426 Magnaflow on my 2.5 SLP catback ....it helped quite the in car plus muffle the gas farts.
I wouldn't say the rasp is gone as much as reduced.
