Plus side.....Looks like I picked up 2 mpg.

Minus side ......rear driver spring seat is rusted away and spring moved up 1/2 inch into truck. Body looks great on outside but the underside is going fast. 200,000 miles of Ohio and Pa winters.

Think the black 03 is done.

Aw a car with nearly a whole new suspension gets taken out of commission for something like that?

I'm in Michigan, and since mine somehow look pretty good I always put some oil on the strut towers until it's a little puddle in there, and I can see it bleed out and around the area from the wheel well. That way I can make sure mine never rust.
 
New suspension?

L26 block, Gen 5, N*, VS cam, intercooler, 300M input shaft, new torque converter, clutches and valve body from tripledgeperformance, tuned daily driver. Suspension is cheap!
 
Right I'm just a student in college, and redoing my entire suspension costing me $800 seems expensive. (All struts, front bearings, tie rod ends, LCA's, sway bar) But of course it's not at all comparing to many other cars. At least engine and trans are transferable as one piece.
