Resetting Check Engine Light

I have a 2000 pontiac grand prix> i have changed the oil but the check engine light always stays on when i crank the car but goes away after about a min or two. How do i reset it
 


you most likely have a bad sensor on your engine, have the car scanned to get the code, unless it the oil light your talking about, due to you said you changed the oil, its really unclear.
