Hey everyone...Just wondering if there is a write up on how to Reroute security system flash to parking lights...I just got done putting HIDs in my headlights and fog lights, but I dont want my fogs to flash when I lock/unlock my doors..I know I can shut it off with DIC but I still want to be able to hear my horn and have some visual confirmation my doors are locked...If anyone could help me, let me know...Thanks Keith

I don't know about GPs, but my Impala had the option to just not flash when you lock or unlock it. It was in a menu you access through the radio.

my 2004 comp-g's fogs don't flash when I lock and arm the alarm/unlock and unarm the alarm it. Then again they never flashed, urs must have the circuitry of an 05.

Anyway I believe ther is a write-up on here to disable it on the 05+'s

Hi...I cant find the write-up on the 05's,,If you can point me in the right direction, that would be great..I tried searching but keep finding the one's on 03's and older...Thanks Keith

I know BackinBlack made a writeup and a cool picture of this for the 97-03 models, I can't imagine it'd be much different for the 04+ models. I know on the 97-03's you pull the little plastic cover from the side of the dash on the driver's side and look for a harness that has 4 wires on it... if I'm not mistaken there's a white, yellow, and two orange wires or something like that. The one you want is the Yellow, that's your indicator lighting wire. Now I believe you're gonna look for the BLACK wire coming from the back of your headlight switch.... cut the yellow wire and cap off the side NOT coming from the harness, splice the remaining yellow wire into the Black. Viola! Hit the lock/unlock buttons on your keyfob to make sure it works with no random smoke and stuff.
