replacing running boards?

so slowing removing all the rust from my car. I want to start working on the drivers side running board which is the only one completly rotted out. Has anybody done this job before have any advice for me maybe pictures It would be very appreciated and I'll put pics up of my fix aswell as I go through it
 


i know this is old. but i fabricated new ones (they look pretty dang good tbh but don't have to be perfect as the sideskirts cover them). I had access to a fairly wide sheetmetal brake, but i still had to make each one in to pieces and then weld them together so they'd be long enough. Fabrication isn't all that hard. just need a little bit of know how... hardest part is having access to the tools that make it easy
