replacing CPS, can/ should I replace front seal then?

High mile car. Has phonton no start issue. GOing to replace the CPS. Shouls/ can I replace the front seal then? Any tips?
 


I wouldn't replace the front seal if it's not leaking. Currently it's worn in to the balancer and sealing well right?
 
I have an oil leak and there is oil around the balancer area. Just wondering if when I get the balancer off it is going to be obvious that it has been leaking and a goods time to replace.
