I just replace my power steering pump on Saturday i have only driven my car 3 times and not for long periods. When I brought it home last night because it was making a horrible noise when I accellerated or turned the wheel, i looked under the car and found a major leak! it dripped so bad that over night i had no fluid left in my resevoir! Can someone help me?

Is it bolted back down correctly? Did you overfill it? Those things are rated at a certain level for a reason...like the transmission...if you overfill it...its gonna hurt it more than help it.

I did bleed the system but I think I might have found out the problem. The pump I bought did not come with the little rubber o ring (seal) so I had to go out and buy one but I could not find one the exact size so the guy at the counter told me to buy one that is smaller rather then bigger then the original so I did but i think that was the wrong move! so I have taken it all appart again and now I am searching for the right size seal!

I hope this works! I hate having to take the bus to work!

If anyone still think it might be something else please let me know. I could use all the help!

Just go get the right washer from a local GM Dealer...or go to the place you bought the pump...and get the O-Ring from them ;)

Thank you so much everyone. This is the first time I have done this so I appreciate all the help!
