Replace injectors help

Rear plugs are pretty straight forward... If you need to you can remove the dog bones and rock the motor forward to give yourself a little more space.

replacing injectors is also pretty easy. Fuel rail comes off, injector clip comes off, injector pops out. Id replace the orings on the injectors before reinstalling them myself.

Oh okay I didn't know I can barely see them thanks

dog bone on the coil bracket. remove the bolt engine side, now you'll notice a extra hole there where it was bolted on, put the bolt back in the dog bone only, pull engine forward and pop the bolt end in that extra hole, it will hold the engine forward a bit for ya.

back plugs you do 1/2 blind, reach in there pull the wire off, push the socket on the plug first, then i use a 3 inch extension on my ratchet. break it free, ratchet off remove by hand.

Well I screwed up bad got dirt and stuff down in the injector holes what do I do now I'm racking my mind it wasn't just a little either

If it’s enough to concern you, leave the plug out, pull the fuse for the fuel pump, and turn the motor over a few times. Let the motor blow the crap out.

just fire it up, its just dirt.

i take the cap off a brake cleaner can, spray brake cleaner in said cap, watch your eyes for blow back, then use Q tips dipped in b/c then clean out the holes. its gonna take a few q tips per hole. you can bunch up 2-3 at a time and use as a larger swab.

Wouldn't that be if he got dirt in the spark plug hole?

Thats I guess what I assumed he was talking about, but even if he got dirt in the injector hole, same basic idea applies. Leave the spark plug off and turn the motor over (once it is made so it wont start) and it will clear all the crap outta there.

For future reference, I always bare minimum vacuum around the top of the engine, and preferably do that and clean the engine bay just to be sure, but what ice said will work great if you forgot and got stuff inside too!

Yea I did that but thought it wasn't as bad as it was

blowing them out works better, like compressed air. them cans of air duster might just have enough power to blow them clean too. then pull the rail and injectors out. then clean the holes with q tips and brake cleaner.
