The site migration is complete! Hopefully everything transferred properly from the multiple decades old software we were using before. If you notice any issues please let me know, thanks! Also, I'm still working on things like chatbox, etc so hopefully those will be working in the next week or two.
The "Thanks" option located on every post pretty much did the same thing as the Rep points. No one was really using the rep points like they are the Thanks option... so it was removed for the time being.
i thought rep points were issued by admin...lol.
either way though is good i suppose.
were all here to help each other out, thats all that counts in my eyes.

Well the reputation points are still there, you can still click on the icon next to the button that shows whether you are on or off line. The difference between the two is that with the reputation points you can leave a comment that gets recorded and you can give either positive or negative points.
The Thanks option is purely positive and takes just a click of the mouse to use.
I hope everyone continues to use it as well. I am in BIG BIG favor of a community that allows you to show your appreciation and having that appreciation for everyone to see so that everyone knows that you are giving of yourself, time and talents and contributing to the community. I personally believe that when someone sees that they become motivated and perhaps inspired to give of themselves as well. So please use the Thank option when you can. The reputation points are still available if you wish to use that as well.
My goal in having the Thanks option was to see which one got more use and then possibly remove the one that wasnt being used.
I think the "thanks" feature is a better idea because I don't think it was apparent what the "rep points" were for and that we could give them. The "thanks" feature is self explaining.
