Removing supercharger

GTPkid

New member
I just bought a 98 GTP and I have to change the coupler so I figured I would pull off the supercharger too. But I saw what appears to fuel lines over the supercharger but idk because iam new to GP's. Could someone please explain how to remove the supercharger properly? also i have another s/c gasket so iam set there. Thanks

You'd be better off just removing the snout from the blower if you're just replacing the coupler.

fuel rail is easy if you've got those stupid little clips on the injectors.

four bolts, pull up and set aside. Shouldn't leak at all.

leave the injectors attached to the fuel rail and pull the whole thing out. And make sure you buy the 2 little yellow o-rings from gm too you will need those. If you are just changing the coupler, it is 1000 times easier to leave the s/c on the car and just take off the snout.

The whole thing comes off so easily though.

Just take it off and port the outlet of the blower while you're there.

Pffft...relieve the fuel pressure. If you just yank the rails and move them to the side you'll be fine. You don't have to remove the rails from the lines...or the injectors from the rail for that matter...just set it off to the right on the diagonal brace...it'll move that far, trust me.
