removing/replacing dash?

SO the GP I'm gonan buy next week has a few cosmetic issues, one of them being that the dash has a huge crack from the windshield to the steering wheel... Anyone ever removed/replaced a dash in the 97-03 gp's? Or is the top part removable to make my life a lot easier?
