Removing egg smell

Ok so basically yesterday when I got out to my car to go to school I found a little surprise waiting for me. Some A** HOLE, with absolutely no respect for me or my nice car, egged my freaking car in the middle of the night! So after calling the body shop, reporting it to the police, and skipping my morning classes to run through the car wash, and then scrubed every part of the car clean, I noticed that it kinda smelled. Only today did I realize how badly. Basically all the spots that got hit have a smell. And the smell has slowly seeped into the interior of my car. So, for the first time ever, I went and got air freshners. I personally hate air freshners.....but it is better than rotten egg. So does anyone out there know what I could do to loose the smell?

And yes I was EXTREMELY mad!!!

Did any of the egg run down your windshield and into the intake vents for your heat and a/c? This could be causing part of your rotten egg smell in the car. I would take it to an automatic touchless wash and run it through. The chemicals they use in those are pretty harsh and should help out.

Well thankfully none of the egg got on the hood, windsheild, or vents. It was mainly all on the back of the roof, rear window, spoiler and trunk lid, and driverside rear door and fender. And I ran the car through out local car wash and spent $15 on the ultimate wash. Then I went home and scrubbed.

you got lucky if the egg didn't take paint with it. I've had that happen, but never had a bad smell from it.

Yeah...thankfully it was a cold night out so the egg didn't do much of any damage. There are a few spot on the roof where it started, but its not too bad and if you don't know what your looking for its kinda hard to find.

Sorry to hear about the egging man it sucks when people just can't let people have nice things sometimes..or atleast that is how i feel about it, anyways i go pretty all out and i am a smoker and can mange to get the inside of my car smelling brand new again, all i do is vacuum the interior then shampoo the carpets (sometimes the cloths seats) clean the dash and all other interior panels then spray the car with febreeze then put myself an air fresher in there and it seems just about mint again.i really need to stop smoking in the GP

Your just going to have to clean like a mufuka!!..I've used automotive febreeze with good results..but that'll be after the shampooing.

Well tomorrow its getting washed again. After scrubbing it all spotless, ill wax it and use the leather cleaner on my seats and interior. Then the window cleaner, the dash cleaner, the vacume, and the tire cleaner. It should hopefully be good after that.
