Removing/cleaning headlight and side marker lenses

I went to replace one of my fog light bulbs today and noticed that I had about an inch of water sitting in my drivers side corner lens. I removed the corner lens and drained the water out by removing the push in cap by the signal bulb and put the lens back in place on the body.

I am wondering if there is an easy way to remove the lenses for the corners and headlights so they can be cleaned and resealed. There is obviously a large leak somewhere in the corner lens and the headlights are fogged up as well.

See the attached picture for what my drivers side lights look like after I drained the water out of the corner lens. Thanks.

mine is doing the same thing. i took it out, put it next to the heater to dry and im sealing it with clear silicone. try to c if it works. mines not as bad as yours tho.

Thanks. I took a rag and screwdriver and cleaned out my corner lens as much as I could earlier. Only problem with me taking lights out is I have an appointment to get them aimed tomorrow. :P Passengers corner lense is in great shape, but headlight is pretty dull looking.

You can use a hair dryer or heat gun to dry out the moisture. Then reseal them around the edge and where the bulb goes in with silicone. That should help. Sometimes the little gasket that is on the bulb socket gets old and does not make a good seal.

Okay. Thanks. They are brand new bulbs, so they shouldn't be leaking around the bulb. I took them out today and they seemed to have a good seal.

The problem lies in the sealer gm chose to put the headlights together, its not the normal butyl sealant. It sucks. Take apart the housing and get the correct headlight sealant.
