remote start wont work now!?

this car is falling apart. well not literally. but for some reason today the remote start wont work (factory) 2005 gt. hit the lock button and it flashs lights and beeps. hold remote start and it just flashs lights and "clicks". the starter just clicks or so it seems.

not start.

get in and start it by the key and it starts fine... ???

If the check engine light is on, remote start is diabled.

Other than that, it's a deeper issue.

As FFDP said, remote start is disabled with CEL. I found this out myself a few years back.
