Remote start disabled after PCM tune? Help!

Hello everybody. New guy here.

I have an 06 GT, with a ZZP PCM in it. Everything went in smoothly, and I did have to do a security relearn. It seems to be okay, except the remote start doesn't work now. I have tried to re-do the security relearn, and I have (obviously) checked in the DIC to make sure remote start is 'enabled', but to no avail.

When I try it, the lights flash, and there is a clicking sound coming from around the front of the car, and the DIC flashes 'Remote Start Disabled.' I have yet to see exactly where this sound is coming from, but I suspect it doesn't matter.

So I contacted ZZP with this problem, and they suggested I get my remote reprogrammed to my car, which I did, with the same results. Locks and everything work, remote start doesn't.

Does anybody have any experience with this, or suggestions? I am at a loss right now, and have done lots of googling, with no help found. And I am fairly new at messing around with this sort of stuff...so go easy on me!

Thanks!

Does it have the proper VIN programmed into the PCM? If no it will cause a security issues with the BCM and will cause the car not to start. Had the same problem with my car i have a 07, but did not have a ZZP PCM

It (supposedly) has the correct VIN in it, not sure how to check and make sure though. It starts and runs just fine with the key, just not the remote start.

ZZP claims they put in the correct VIN.

"ZZP claims they put in the correct VIN"

You cant always trust wat zzp says!
Im pretty sure they screwd up, anyone close to you with a tuner? Where they could read the PCM and fix it? Im 95% sure that is the prob casue that is what the problem was with mine

haha Yeah I know I shouldn't believe everything they say...thinking about switching to an overkill PCM anyways.. ;)

But I don't know anybody with a tuner around me..unless I get lucky and somebody on these forums lives around Memphis, TN??
