regal top swapped problems

Ok having some problems after a top swap im going to link a sight to the regal gs forum that explains literally everything ive been through, i just need help. I can no longer figure what the heck is going on.
Ive replaced literally everything in this car and hasnt fixed a damn thing(pardon my language).
 


Thank you to all in advance, im just a car guy trying to figure out his problem, im so worn out by all of this that im close enough to just selling the car and getting a already supercharged buick. If any adivce comes my way i appreciate it all.

Did you order the ZZP 1.0? or did you get it second hand? you said on the other forum you swapped the vac modulator... any sc car would have had the 4t65hd and not a vac modulator that is found on your 4t60e. the computer is prob not communicating properly with the trans. you also need to be sure you have the correct gear ratio if you did swap the trans.

your best bet is to have a custom tune made from your original stock file and not mess with ZZP. possibly will at overkill could help. for my Z i used a 98z34 base file and tweaked it. runs great. only issue i ran into was a bad O2 sensor that i damaged when i dropped the down pipe for the headers. later i also had two of my iridium plugs fail from being reused. the porciline was cracked causing a miss fire and i thought it was a bad trans at first.
 
Ok for one, no a 97 buick regal supercharged has a 4t60e hd with a vac modulator, and i ordered it from zzp i also got most of my parts from a 96 riviera with that same transmission. With zzp its year specific so they programmed it to a 97 regal gs which also has the vac modulator. 97 is an odd ball year. I have the 4t60e from a regular ls. I have no error codes either, did you read that whole forum because it has everything ive done to it to fix it. As for the tuning im going to learn to tune im tired of waiting on other people
 


I had a similar problem on my top swapped grand prix..I regapped the plugs to .43 and it fixed it. Just a thought. Also the regal gs and gp gtps from 97 came with 4t65ehd trans..only the non sc motors in 97 came with the 60..friends regal gs is a 97 and it has a 65..my.moms is a 97 ls with a 60.

Yes i did read your lengthy thread. You ask for help but do not answer the questions of people who are trying to help you. I have almost 10 years of tuning this platform, performed the topswap on my own vehicle, and successfully completed the gear swap when i ran the DOHC engine and 4t60e. I was willing to help.
 
hes got like 3 threads on regals, what hes not said is how hes on stock exhaust manifolds, with a u bend still even. and a 3.8 pulley. no way to scan yet, friends who bail for the planned scans. oh, and hes a broke collage guy i think he said, and we all know that dont help either.

it could be the knock sensors pulling timing cause, its knocking on heavens door.

not trying to bust your nuts, but you need to respond to people as to weather or not you've tried their suggestions, if your passing these suggestions off as BS your doing it all wrong.

you'll find far more help over here too. lots of tuners here lots of modded cars, top swaps and so on, and this place gets a ton more traffic then the other site.


on the fun side we bust balls over how crappy grand prix's are lol its a regal thing, its a better car and we all know it lol.
 
My turn to bust your nuts buds, I have answered many questions, dear sir, I have an elm 327 with the torque pro app dont know how to use it, No ones told me exactly what kr is other than knock retard,I didnt forget to mention the stock exhaust either its literally in the thread with 57 or so replies. Not only that people like you guys are telling me to swap coils, check plugs, look at wires, check my map,maf,tps,clean throttle body, check vac leaks, ect and ive had to repeatedly tell everyone ive done that not 1 time , not 2 times, but 3 or more. Ive got fuel pressure checked, so dont ask whats stated above, also explain to me how a supercharged riviera had yhe same tranny as me with the supercharged engine ? Because thats where i pulled the heads from.
Ive been doing this for weeks telling people the same information over and over and having them ask the same questions over and over, as for the scotty dude theres another guy whose been doing this for 30 years plus that helped me with my top swap personally thats telling me that he is putting pointless stuff other than headers,

Enough of that long run on sentence.
And lastly please by all means post what ones i havent answered so i can go and re answer them, i should add that i do have an account with them obviously, and i responded to them through personal messaging, instagram, facebook, and text. So before assuming things please dont say im doing things out of bs. And if your going to critisize my way of thinking leave it because like the other forum stick to the top swap because that gets people no where. Thank you

Dont take this harsh at all it seems that way especially the way i worded it but don't lol i do appreciate your help and every one elses im not a noob to mechanics as my family has alot of them, im simply the detailer of them all. I know how to clean cars have been for 7 years not major mechanics but only a little
 
1996 rivs had the 60 regaurdless of engine. The 65 came out in 97. So yes if you pulled the heads from a 96 riv it had a l67 motor with a 4t60 trans...but in 97 all sc motors including the rivs went to the 65hd.

That explains that, thank you also i went and reviewed every on of those threads and i answered every question literally, i just didnt tag them in it. Read them carefutlly . what i didnt answer your taking of the belt? Or scanning for kr when i clearly stated that he bailed out and now i have a scanner, looks like you listened the man from my forums and came to club gp. I like diversity though so of course many opinions help me test stuff but if your going to keep asking the same questions then i cant help but tell you the same answers.
 
Thanks for answering quickly lol but any who regapping them to .43 hmm i might try that just takes a little time haha. But i dont get why people are being rude when really leave the personal attitude aside we are car guys and thats all it comes down to. Also by chance what all did you do to the top swapped grand prix? And any suggestions as to why my engine would get that hot with the ac on? Because man im scared that thing will overheat so i pull over and cool it down or get on the high way and it cools it down quick man.
Today i checked the bleeder for any air in my system there was a little bit but not much, i checked the radiator for blockage. and before that i flushed it but it didnt help. So i changed my thermostat and out wetter water with green coolant because dex cool is a no no.
 
If its tuned for a regal gs with a 65 trans that will be an issue that u need to look at. May need to get a new tune imo...my top swap I was able to run a 3.3 pully with headers, cai, cat delete, and 1.9s...so once you can start scanning for kr with torque you can see what is happening..every engine is different...and 97 is a tough year to work with...do you have your old pcm? Throw that in see if it runs bette if you do.
