recommended service... what items to replace?

Question is kind of vague

Just wondering if there are any recommended things to replace at certain miles... How long do certain engine parts last and should i replace them now?

spark plugs
belt
wires
fuel filter..

any other recommended cleaning..

Oil change? Transmission oil change? Really nothing but Fluids for that new of a car

Agreed. With that low of miles, and a stock car, nothing really needs changed.

Only thing I might consider is coolant since Dexcool is a 5 year life. And tranny fluid and filter just because I am anal like that.

Air filter
PCV
Tranny pan drop with filter change
Battery

Also,
Clean then carefully lube the TB
Clean the MAF sensor
Clean the gunk off your intake manifold, bugs and crap tend to accumulate.
Check serpentine belt for proper tension, fraying and cracks
Pull a spark plug or two and check them out.
Well, I’m spent.:D

You have to consider the fact you have a 10 year old car with 3 years of driving on it, so you really should do a few things just as your question to us implies.

What is PCV?
What is TB?
Are the other cleanings things I can do myself? or shoul dI ask the shop to do?

The only thing on my list that I wouldn’t recommend you doing is the tranny pan drop. All the rest of the stuff can be done easily with basic tools.

PCV = Positive Crankcase Ventilation valve
This is just a fancy name for a $3 check valve, it is under your MAP sensor. Very easy and cheap job no tools needed.

TB = Throttle Body
Just take some carb cleaner to it and blast what you can see. Then lightly lube the pivot and your linkages, use real oil not WD-40. Only tool you need is a screwdriver.

The MAF cleaning is easy, just treat it gentle. Use MAF cleaner or contact cleaner, don’t touch it or bang it around. Also disconnect your battery before doing anything to it.

The spark plugs, if you have never done them before you better read up on it first. Even though they are easy to do people mess it up all day long. Don’t ask me how they do it :th_shakinghead1:

Anyway, my advice to you is do one thing at a time. So if you mess up you know where to look. I can’t even tell you how many times people spend a Saturday or a Sunday working on their car then come on here looking for help because it won‘t run, then giving the list of stuff they messed with.:th_laugh-lol2:
