i have C5 calipers up front with hawk pads and rear is stock calipers with wagner pads. both front and rear rotors are drilled and slotted. now i have problem with the brake squeaking and it's driving me crazy i already tried the putting the caliper grease on the pads and caliper pin guides to stop the sqealing, but it's not working. i think i need new pads. any recommendation brake pads from autozone, murray, or pepboys?

Hey,

I have some awesome performing pads that I usually sell with my F-Body brake kits. I use them on all of my personal and performance vehicles without any issues. Also the last 30 set's that I have sold to my customers I have had nothing but good things said about them.

Let me know and I can send them along with your intake.

The pads I sell are semi metalic. Organics are junk but to answer your question it's a different material. Semi metalic offers a better bit on the rotor and does not increase rotor wear as much as a Ceramic pad does. The Semi metalic's that I sell are also are a low dust pad.

The pads are 49.99 plus shipping. But if you order those intake you were talking about you will only be charged a single 11.99 handling fee.

I have EBC Yellowstuff pads. they are really meant for racing but you can use them on the street. great pads but of course like any race pad they squeak at low speeds. I heard the EBC Greenstuff Pads are good as well, they are more meant for "street" use but if you ask me the yellows are the best performing

any pads that squeak i want to stay away from. parker i will get in touch with you on the pads and intake when i get back from trannyman. the third guy drop out for the intake, figure he would. for definitly you will have a buyer for 2 intakes.

back in the day pops use to be a tow truck driver but in NY its crazy they listen to police scanners for accidents and race to be there 1st well any way i remember when i was like 6 or so when my parents were getting a house pops got a call and the semi metalic work better as they get hotter (for the most part) and he drove so fast like such a nut when we pulled up (yes he sped with me in the car) the brakes were dripping/melting it was the craziest thing because as i got older i understood brakes dont melt hahaha

I have used more than one set of these o more than one car. I have not had a single one squeak to date. My customers have not reported any noise on any of the sets they have purchased either.

i have drilled and slot rotors i thought there was a thread on clubgp someone said they cause brake squeak. anybody?

Drilled and sotted rotors do not cause brake squeak. $60,000 sports cars come stock with them. It's all about the pad.
