rear window wont roll up or down? help

I have an 04 grandprix gt and the rear drivers side window doesnt work, been this way since i bought it. You can hear it trying to roll down, sounds like its going to but nothing. Is there an issue with these cars and a howto on fixing this issue? I have searched before posting and couldnt find what i was looking for. Thanks in advance!
 


Yes. These cars are known to eat window regulators. Once you have the old regulator/motor assembly out of the door you can test the motor. If it works then just install a new regulator. Also lube the felt guides in the window tracks as they like to dry out and cause the glass to stick, thus breaking your regulators. You can break a new one just as fast if the glass does not slide smoothly.

Search on "window regulator" and see what comes up.
