• The site migration is complete! Hopefully everything transferred properly from the multiple decades old software we were using before. If you notice any issues please let me know, thanks! Also, I'm still working on things like chatbox, etc so hopefully those will be working in the next week or two.

Rear Wheel Conversion

I saw there was a previous thread about this by Triple Edge Performance, but I didn't want to dig up a dead topic necessarily. Is there such a thing now - or is the following setup a one-off deal?

I'm guessing it would be extensive and expensive, but I still find it intriguing and interesting. It would a shock to the senses to anyone who witnesses a Grand Prix smoking the rear tires... :D

I was the one that made that thread.

I misread the information on Dave's website when I saw "RWD Conversion." It had nothing to do with W-Bodies being converted to RWD. It had to do with the F-Bodies.

On ls1tech.com there was a guy who was swapping an A4 LS1 motor and 4L65E transmission into his Grand Prix and converting it to RWD, but I think he discontinued the project. He had a lot of information written on the forum and practically every step of the process he was going to do was also on there. It is definitely possible but unless you can do your own fabrication it is not going to be cheap at all. Wouldn't be cheap even if you could. Unless you want something super rare like a Series II LS1 GTP, you might as well just get yourself an LS1 and save a couple thousand.
