rear valve cover oil leak

hello all, my son and I replaced the rear valve cover gasket and grommets. car has 122k on it. 2000 gp/gtp. dang thing still leaks. do the valve covers on these engines have problems warpping and or cracking? not a real fun job replacing the gasket! should I try a new valve cover? thanks

Did you use the ZZP gasket or the felpros? ZZP's are known to not fit stock covers very well. They were designed for their aluminum covers. I would suggest you use felpro if you didnt.

In addition to the above info, just note, it's easy for the gasket to move when installing the cover. Some use a little dab of RTV to hold the gasket in place until tightened. It can also be the LIM gasket... What makes you think it's the valve covers again? Have you cleaned the engine and then examined where the oil leak is originating from?

Not common for new gaskets to leak. Typically if you see this, the head surface or channel if VC usually has crap still on it, or the gasket moved while you were fiddling with getting the cover back in place.
