Rear sway bar links- 3rd time in 55k miles

I have just finished having the rear sway bar links replaced for the 3rd time. I use Moog and replace both at the same time. Is the Tech missing something or do these just fail prematurely? I've had them go slowly over a couple of weeks or, the last set failed one day to the next and they were the noisiest yet!!! Moog has lifetime on the parts but it's just a pain, and 4 sets in 55k miles seems a lot. Tire wear and handling is normal and I don't beat on it. Thoughts would be appreciated!

If they are failing like that I'll bet dingbat who put hem on didn't hold the nut on the back and just turned the ball inside the socket while tightening. no real other explanation for that. If the sound went away for a while after they were replaced I would think that it would really only be that part.

did he put grease in them?

Thats a joke BTW, they'd fail in days without grease.

Are they being greased regularly?

no it's actually good they are sealed instead of having the little cap on there so no dirt can get in. newer synthetic grease lasts a long time.

Thanks for the help. Checked and found mine had no grease fittings. The new ones do. We'll see how long they hold up. TKS again.
